I went there with my wife, last Saturday night for a friend’s birthday dinner party. We were a group of 7, and we were seated at the table right in front when you climb the staircase to Mezzanine floor. The ambience, decor all were good and in line with a business hotel’s restaurant. Service was definitely good, with the waiter and manager on their toes.
From our group-menu, I got to taste the following dishes - Spicy crab meat soup, Babycorn & water chestnut Salt & Pepper (starter), Mongolian Kai (Chef’s signature dish), Chicken Kaukswe, Vege Thai Red Curry & Kung Pao Lamb. Spicy Crab meat soup was a bit too salty (for my taste buds), but the moment I told them, they changed it in few mins, and I got a new bowl which was very good. Mongolian Kai was a hit with us, and we just loved when it arrived with its mini-BBQ grill on our table. Soo tender and succulent. Babycorn & Water-chestnut starter was fantastic too. You have to try the Kung Pao Lamb. I have not tasted lamb sooo tender and soft like a cotton ball anywhere else in a long time. The gravy, with a dash of ginger and lot of lamb pieces, was a steal. All the other dishes were also of good quantity and taste.
One bowl of gravy easily serves 2 people, while one portion of steam rice serves just one person with a good appetite. PRICE - Situated in a business hotel, the price of a non-veg gravy in the range of 290-320 was definitely reasonable, especially with one bowl good enough for 2 people easily. Not to mention, they have wonderful happy-hour offers on the drinks in their bar everyday. TAKE THIS - The only place I KNOW in Pune boasting of a BOYS NIGHT-OUT on Mondays, with Buy 1 Get 2 free offer on beers. That is awesome :-) I would definitely like to visit this place again for the food and service. Any downside? Yes, the place where we were seated was on the far side from the a/c duct, so we were feeling a bit hot and sweaty, especially with beers and piping hot food going into our tummies. But that is just a minor glitch in an otherwise wonderful experience. Apart from that, everything else is very good
