Another Irish boy-band

Another Irish boy-band trying their fate in the music industry. Just like their other Irish-band counterparts, (such as Boyzone and The Corrs), Mytown’s music is soft and soothing. Nothing hardcore, just four guys singing in the right harmony. Co-written by the members themselves, their music is inspired by various influences, from Michael Jackson to Boyz II Men to the Bee Gees. The result, there’s a variation of romantic ballads, mid-tempo grooves and fast street songs.

The album’s first single, “Body Bumpin’” is supposed to be a track for the dance-floor but it sure lacks the funkiness to be boogied at. However, their romantic ballads are something to look forward to. Tracks like “Lifetime Affair, ” “Now That I Found You” and “Love Sent Angel” which incorporates strings and cello instrumentation, will make any girl sway into fantasia. There’s also the acoustic-driven track “Girl In Tears” which gives an exotic feel to the album. Their fast numbers, like “Party All Night” and “I Like Your Style” are more R&B than rock & roll. If you’re looking for something to shake your bon-bon like how Ricky Martin did you, you’re in for big time disappointment, honey. Check out the remake version of “Everything She Wants” - very cool!

Their music is nothing to shout about, nothing distinctively different from other boy-bands, but they sure look promising with their first album. Their soothing harmonies and light tunes will capture the hearts of soft-music lovers.

Regards,

Rahul
