Nothing like neeraj pandey's BABY

I had high expectations when I went to the theatre as I thought it is from the same makers of baby and special 26. the casting is also identical with akshay kumar, anupam kher and tapsee pannu in the movie. it is a women centric movie with tapsee pannu leading it, you will see a lot of action from tapsee pannu who plays the role of shabana khan. akshay kumar has a brief role in the movie but spectacular as always.

let me remind you of previous neeraj pandey movies which were blockbusters a wednesday, baby, special 26, rustom, m.s dhoni all are superb but naam shabana could not impress us much.

plot: this movie is actually a spin-off prequel of baby which failed to recreate the magic which baby had created. shabana(played by tapsee pannu) is a women with dark past who has lost the man she loved and sets out to take the revenge . the plot is connected to the baby and shabana’s character taken from it. the plot could not convince us enough as the suspense element was missing the whole movie was predictable

the music of the movie was average and did not help the movie either. and another remix of the old song in this movie "zubi zubi". I don’t know what is wrong with bollywood, have they forgotten to make new music as they are spoiling our evergreen classics . the song rozana is a good piece which you can enjoy

cast performance was good, tapsee pannu once again took on action after baby. it reminded me of akira. I personnally don’t like women fighting and doing stunts, I am not being a male chauvnist but I feel action is suited to men and women doing action is somewhat unacceptable and which cannot be believed(opinions can be subjective).

veteran actors like manoj bajpayee and anupam kher did not have a convincing role given to them either and akshay kumar was in a short role too, the movie was wholly focussed on shabana(as the name suggests).

cinematography was poor as the plot continously oscillated between exotic locations and then back to story mode. the main culprit to blame here is the plot of the movie which could have been much better.
