Their modus operandi is simple. Advertise aggressively offering very good pricing as compared to indiatimes.com. Collect money upfront for the purchases. Then supply defective products (I received my product quite promptly - within 5 working days).
When the customer calls to complain about the defects, readily agree to take them back and promise to release the payment within 5 working days of receipt of the product). Customer sends back the product to a Courier company (Aramax), not to naaptol.com (someone pointed out that they have no physical address - they may be operating like a multi-level marketing company. work from home concept possibly with a hunting line).
The courier company takes 2 weeks to acknowledge receipt of a courier that was received by them in 1 day (possibly they rotate the product a few more times before they acknowledge receipt - delaying tactics). when you call the call center, the person at the other end increases your call charges by repeating all the steps (your order no., date, name, phone number, receipt date of the product, etc) again before assuring you again and again that the money will be paid to you within 5 or 7 working days.
When you call again after 5 working days, again they give a new deadline of 5 or 7 working days. If you put up a review of the service on the naaptol.com website, they promptly mark report abuse so that others dont see it (expect the same here to - am sure they have enough money to hire internet trolls to report abuse of all the posts that present the true picture).
It is a never ending cycle and I have lost hope of seeing my money again (Rs. 10, 499/-) after 1 month of constantly following up. you can guess the product.
