In the world of fashion there are fabulous fakes.and then there’s this.
Shame on Naaptol for peddling such trash! I was under the impression that Naaptol was supposed to be a respectable online shopping source. I can’t even compare them to a street hawker because I’ve actually bought some good stuff from hawkers!
I can’t even call this "jewelry" shoddy work because very little work actually went into its making. This is garbage, pure and simple.
I ordered this jewelry with the intent of gifting each set to a different family member or friend over the course of the coming year. Unfortunately NOTHING in this package is worth gifting! I would be absolutely mortified to give such inferior trash to a stranger, let alone a beloved family member or friend!
I have LOTS of pictures(but can only upload 2) because of 12 necklace/earring sets and 2 bangles, everything except 1 bangle was defective! And that lone bangle is very bad quality, I’m sure it won’t last long.
DEFECTS:
Missing stones
Very cheap, plastic/poor quality enamel and beads
Scratches, rough spots on beads
Crooked, haphazard settings
Broken, damaged and badly constructed chains
Discoloured metal(black and grey spots on the plating)
Uneven goldtone(one chain has 2 different hues of gold)
Peeling pearls(Cheap pearlescent paint on white plastic beads is coming off)*
The overall look of the pieces is very cheap and everything has a very plastic feel. The gold coloured plating does not look realistic. Good quality costume jewelry should resemble real stones and natural metals, the wearer should not look like a little girl playing dress up with plastic toy jewels!
