Naina is ok...its off the indian age cinema as it does not have songs, dance...formula...
In fact this is one of the most cosmopolitan films in the Hindi language.
Its all about Supernatural powers. But showing the reason behind as cornea transplant was a stupidity.
Overall story is well knitted and well built.
Scenes showing Naina connecting with supernatural elements send a chill up our spine.
Urmila does it nicely, without camera effect, she could show horror from her eyes....
Not that cinematography lacks in an inner vision in this film that tells us that seeing is not just about believing. Damn it, seeing isnt about optical vision either! Its about seeing other world and connecting yourself with people there.
Good mix of Bhuj and London....
London is certainly not a character in the film. Its just the venue for a drama.
Its hard to imagine this film working without the amazing Urmila. Shes the only actress of her generation to be doing such exemplary work. This isnt the first time she has done horror.
This is yet another outstanding performance by an actress who is constantly on the look out for passionate opportunities. Urmilas strength of expressions, ranging from the terror of the unknown to the fear of the known, gives the film a unique twist.
