Hi All,
When I thought of writing a review on restaurants at Delhi, then many of them came to my mind. Dum Pukth at Maurya, Nirulas, Wimpys, Osaka etc. all deserve a review. But my heart chose Naivedyam because of the excellent south indian food it offers. This one is located in Kalkaji Market. The first impression itself was very good which made us its regular customer. The dosas are delicious and crispy, idlis are soft and spongy, vadas are tasty. The sambhar and chutni served adds flavor to the whole meal. A small drink is served in the beginning which acts as an appetizer-you dont have to pay for it. The nariyal pani is served in a different manner. The nariyal itself is put in a tray which holds it. The thali is also very good. You can go for limited or unlimited option.
The ambience is good, if not excellent. The A.C.s are comfortable. The instrumental music is soothing to the ears. The people serving have a dress code.
Their are two things which are not so positive. Firstly, at peak time around nine, one may have to wait as the tables are full. Secondly, sometimes I dont get cool nariyal pani are nariyal are out of stock. Then I settle for watermelon juice, which is equally delicious. But the bottomline remains, that if the food and service is good, then small things can always be overlooked.
