McGreavy, A sincere cop as said by his partner Angelie, and is a practical man with a great sense and tough to convince.Angelie partner to McGreavy who tries to understand and help Judd Stevens, is a man who is said to have a kind ear to his assigned accused.Detective Moody is a private investigator whose name plate says ’Satisfaction Guaranteed’, is a round middle aged man who was found from yellow pages and then never would be found to anyone again.
He is a Quick detective with a sharp intellect.The rest of the characters around which the plot revolves are Anthony, Anne’s Husband, who loves her a lot. Carol Roberts, who is the doctor’s beautiful receptionist, Mr. Hanson, a warm homosexual, who still loves his family and want to get back to them, Teri a client of his who was a famed actress in Hollywood years back and Burke friend of Mr. Hanson.The summary in short can be 2 Murdered, 1 accused, 1 scared to be murdered by a homicidal killer, 1 in Love, 3 searching for murderer and Finally 2 in danger. hahahaha.
I know it’s a little confusing. Let me explain.Dr.Judd Stevens’ client Mr. Hanson was murdered on a street and was found wearing the Doctor’s jacket, followed by the murder of the Doctor’s beautiful receptionist Carol, who was battered. The next target is He. The police believe that Judd has a hand in it. So, Judd is on his way to find the real murderer. He faces a good number of surprises, while the murdered is still unknown.The plot is well planned and the protagonist is strong willed. Though this novel is simple compared to the other plots of our sheldy, we donot find any lose ends and the motive is simple. This deserves its award as the Best first novel.Finally, a nice read for the readers and wonderful starter for our dear old sheldy.
