It was a good review. I have just seen the clippings on the telivision, and got a whole picture of the movie, as usual bollywood masala, with some westernised format, nothing too special, kat missed the accent, I guess, I have come across several girls who are born here in london and as shown, I to some extent agree the fact that girls never agree to tell they are indians, when I ask them have you been to India, the answer is a big no, they even cant speak their mother tounge, which is not accecptable.
I dont say that all are the same, but 80% of the UK born Indiand think they belong here, in spite of the discrimination, at work and everywhere, they even refuse to make friends with people who come to UK for jobs or other purposes, of course they are born and brought up here, their accent change, cause they study with different kind of people, but at the same time they forget they are Indians and they have their own culture, which is most respected and appreciated world wide and ought to be proud to be born under this amazing culture.
I do agree that a girl has her own choice, and cant be forced to marry a person whom she doesnt like, but at the same time, she shouldnt forget, she will be a mother soon and she should have the culture going, recently I saw the preview of Provoked, its true such things happen, I dont say everyone is the same, but a person In this part of the country can be as good or cruel, as everywhere,
people get attracted to western countries, just for the reason of the currency value, but when you experience the truth you will see the difference, thats what the director tried to depict in the movie, as usual for a film to run you need to add some masala, Upen was here, since birth so what more can you expect, never as an Indian actor, you can see the difference there, between akshay and upen
thats the difference between an indian and a brit born,
girls do have jobs, they start working early here, they are independent, there is no drought for jobs here, but there is drought for morals, in the movie, when you are taken from london to india everyone who is watching will definetely have a smile on their face, the difference is money, India is still poor, cause what was taken from us id reflecting here, and what the british did to us years ago, our country and our children are still suffering, what they taught our innocent ancestors, DIVIDE AND RULE is still unfortunately in the minds of our people, sorry to say but we need to change and we need to take some of the good things left by the british and forget the rest
do you know every Indian who is settled in london tries to do something for his country, we can earase poverty in just few hours, they are rich and strong, just they should have the will, cause Indians are respected here, as people from the land of gandhi, but our own people lost the morals which is a pity
I dont Intend to hurt but its a fact about Indians Ive come across here in london
