I WAS a regular customer of Simpli Namdhari, but not anymore after the humiliating & horrifying experience of getting insulted their manager Iyaz Khan & staff members, at Whitefield, Bangalore store.
I had been to the store on Saturday the 5th Of Nov 2022, I usually select the vegetables but this time I was approached rudely by one of the lady staff who stopped me to do so. I said I always select the veggies and no one has ever said anything of that sort earlier, she was murmuring and blabbering and abusing me, in Kannada.
I said you cant talk to me like that, I dont think I am doing anything wrong, (your store vegetable charges are 3-4 times higher than what we get outside, so I dont think anyone can stop us from selecting). Then another male staff member joined and he said to speak in English(I was talking in Hindi all the while). I said why should I talk in English, I am comfortable with Hindi and Kannada.
For that, he was arguing saying we speak only English and Kannada. I said am ok with Kannada and Hindi, but I am not interested in talking in English, there was a customer who was passing by, he asked me what happened and even before I could say that lady gave a total wrong scenario to the customer in Kannada, I said why are you lying, this is not what happened, then the male staff cut me in between and he was talking to me rudely in English.
I said I will complain to your manager, they said Go Ahead nothing is gonna happen. And when I went to the manager, his name is Iyaz Khan and I told him about the incident, he said ok, and I asked what are you gonna do next. He was not at all interested in listening to what happened.
His response was very cold and indifferent, he behaved exactly as the staff has told me that no action will be taken against them.
I had moved away from there & continued shopping. After a while, I came back again asking if he has spoken to her. He was laughing. I asked him what was so funny, he said you leave, no action will be taken, I said I will complain to your higher ups and he also said the same thing, they cant say anything to us.
This attitude made me feel helpless and humiliated again. A regular customer gets humiliated by so many staff members at your store and no one does anything about it. "Iyaz Khan the manager was super rude he said go complain to whomever you want, nothings gonna happen. He said its high time you learn English and then you come and shop at such places, then he murmured why these people even come to such places if they cant speak English. (he probably thought I didnt know English).
I mean getting humiliated for not talking in English is such a shame. What kind of people have you hired? This is pathetic.
What solution can I expect, can I even expect any action for such an irrational behaviour?
I WILL NEVER EVER SHOP FROM THIS PLACE, I was humiliated by the manager IYAZ KHAN for speaking in Hindi to his staff
