I would like to pen down few things about this particular store located at Brigade Metropolis:
1) Be ready to find most of the items missing which you would want to buy.
My first visit to the store peeled off all the excitement I had for the store as I found absolutely nothing which I wanted to buy. Reason as quoted by the store manager - We are not getting customers as expected hence cannot take risk of loading the store with everything. Atlast as part of the first visit, I bought 1/2 kg "fresh" paneer. Only to find that it was smelling badly when I reached home.
Lesson 1 - Buy only packaged dairy items with expiry date.
2) Be ready to wait in queue for weird unacceptable reasons. If you want to test your patience, this is the best place to be.
Another visit was more disappointing. I bought few things, and blindly paid the bill after waiting in the queue for a long time. Already my brain was half-dead, and anger knew no bounds. As the people employed at the store were freshers, they took ages to swipe a product for billing. Finally when I came home, to my disappointment, I found there was a difference of 55 Rs. in the bill. The lady at the counter had swiped an item for more than 3 times. Went back to clarify, cool came the reply. You would have lost the items.
Lesson 2 - Check the bill and items before leaving the counter.
3) Never buy items aiming for home delivery.
I bought items more than worth 700 Rs. and requested them for a home delivery. You need to buy for more than Rs. 500 for this service. The store manager coolly told as today is Sunday we donot offer home delivery. On another occasion, though the audit was next week, he gave excuse due to audit today we cannot deliver.
Lesson 3 - Check for home delivery option before shopping. Another 1km or 2 km you will find stores who can provide you home delivery for as low as 100 Rs.
4) The only place to get stale and rotten vegetables
The quality of vegetables and fruits, others have already written a lot about. So, now even though I have Namdharis at the doorstep, I prefer to go to the local market just behind our apartment to get fresh vegetables and other stuff and to Hypercity for the monthly groceries, dairy products, poultry and fish.
