Sreenu Vytla is known to have given comedies and fast paced ones. Venkatesh has also done well in comedies ( he specializes in this though he started his career differently). If you are a Telugu comedy buff with punch dialogues this can be one for you.
The Plot : Venkataramana (Venkatesh) is a small-time singer / ventriloquist who goes to Paris (as part of a Eurpean paid trip) to entertain NRI Telugus. The function is organized by one Paris Prasad (Brahmanandam) who thrives on cheating.
This Venkat some how fails to get a suitable bride due to his preoccupation with a “dream girl” who continuously evades him. He comes across this Trisha in Paris and realizes she is That Dream Girl . When Venkataramana falls in love at first sight with Prasads niece Pooja (Trisha), this Paris Prasad (Brahmi) a man who thrives on cheating, decides to make hay by encouraging Thrisha to feign love just for the fun of one and all. His real intention is to just keep her happy and take her help in clearing his debts. Pooja is an orphan who is also the inheritor of a stupendous fortune, and is under protection of relatives (Mukesh Rishi, Jayaprakash Reddy etc ) that include Prasad himself. She is emotionally forced by these villains to come back to AP (Ryalaseema) and marry a cousin (Subbaraju- in AP certain cousin marriages are common) to keep the family fortune within .
Venky, in all earnestness, joins Prasad to get Pooja out of the place. He gets into his own shoes and manages himself through the twists, turns and violent fights until he reaches the climax scene. The fights are exaggerated perhaps for a comic impact. There sure are plenty of hilarious punch dialogues and sequences in Namo Venkatesa. Most of the cast performs to their potential . The music is pleasant, though there nothing much of permanent nature . The songs are well shot though at times too noisy. Use of a revered Hindu God in a Hip Hop song .Namovenkatesa perhaps could have been balanced more sensitively and seriously.
Do not go to this movie if you are an expert film critic or an art film buff.
