Hi Everyone,
I took my Renault Duster(1st Gen Nov-2015 Petrol) model to Nanavati-Renault, Vapi on 02-May-2022 to fix the AC system which was not blowing cold air.
1. It was advised that the AC was fault and needs replacement which will take 15 business days.
Cost: INR24995.
2. I was handed over the car by end of May-2022 and still the AC was not working. Nanavati-Renault replaced the part and filled with gas so when the delivery happened it was throwing cold air and next day it started to throw hot air.
3. Car was again delivered to showroom and there was second round of diagnosis.
4. Now, it was suggested Compressor was faulty and needs replacement. Another 3 weeks.
Cost: INR 41000(I had to pay INR10000 as I cited it is the same issue).
5. The compressor was replaced but the fitting was done in such a poor fashion that AC water started to leak inside the car. Another 2 weeks.
6. With the pool of water, the car was taken for repair. It was fixed but headlamp, horn and other parts were not working. Citing issues with control box, some quick fix was done.
7. Then, the car ran for 1 month and then, AC problem was observed. The car busted with high pressure while running and we were saved from a major accident.
8. The dealer suggested Condenser was faulty. Replaced the condenser. INR 10000. Time consumed 3 weeks.
9. Then, the car for another 1 week and now the car broke with faulty compressor and alternator. Not sure how many more weeks.
Nanavati-Renault is a company run by crooks and scammers. They have poor after-sales technicians and dont even acknowledge the issue neither fix the problem. They keep on repeating the same issue over and over again and ask for technician charges. To top that Area Manager - West Zone sides with them and ensure that the scam goes on.
I was advised by Nanavati-Renault Vapi Service Manager, Mr. Ankit Dhondhe to visit a nearby local car mechanic(National Car Cool, Vapi) to fix the compressor as it will cost less. I visited the mechanic and understood that these guys sell off parts to these folks.
I had been taking things in writing as Mr. Ankit Dhondhe does not live up to what he says. If you plan to visit the service center, please ask Mr. Dhondhe to write everything what he says.
Then, you have VP-Sales Nanavati Cars Mr. Sunil Sharma who would like to sell off new car since the earlier one cannot be fixed.
Finally, I had escalated everything to Renault Sales Head - West Zone, Mr. Rahul Gaur who delegated the case to Mr. Manish, Area Manager - West Zone. None of them could help me on this matter and seems they have taken no action against the car dealer. I am still paying to get my car repaired by technicians who do not know anything about the car.
Renault as a brand is deteriorating with callous management and poor after-sales support. If you stay in Gujarat, Mumbai or nearby areas, please dont buy a Renault. You will end up in a serious mess.
