The Nanda Devi national park is the national park which was established in 1982. It is located in the state of uttarakhand in northern part of India. It is surrounded by the peak of Nanda Devi which is about 7815 meter tall. It is also listed in the world heritage list by UNESCO in 1988, later on it was renamed as Nanda Devi and valley of flowers national park. It occupy an area of 630.33 sq. km. Some of the fauna found in this national park are: Himalayan musk deer, mainland serow, Himalayan tahr, Himalayan black bear, brown bear, and about 114 bird species are recognized here. About 312 species of flora are found here including 17 rare species like fir, birch, juniper, rhododendron, etc. There is a great facility of hotels, restaurants, guest house and many more things.
