Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao(NTR)is God of Telugu Cinema.
Born in Nimmakuru, Krishna Dist AP in 1923 May 28.Entered into Telugu cinema in 1949 with a movie Manadesam in very small role.At that time no body knows he will be the trend setter in future.Mr.LV Prasad given 1st chance to act in the movies.
In 1951 he came into lime light with Patala Bhairavi wchich become block buster.Then Palleturi pilla, malliswari, Missamma, Panduranga mahatyam, Chandraharam etc stabled his position in Tollywood.in 1957 golden era started with all time great movie’MAYABAZAR’ created box office history at that time.He played lord krishna’s character later he remains adress for that character.Then from that time he use to dominate & rule Telugu cinema.He is only promnent actor who ruled Telugu cinema for 3 decades till CHiranjeevi’s entrance.
Then in 1960’s his dominance continued with Lava kusa, Ramudu Bheemudu, Gundamma Katha, Sri Krishna series(all films) etc.& continued for long time.Only Nageswara Rao was only contemporary to him who with standed his dominance.No dought NTR is super star at time but he also faced negative impact for some time.
in 1977 time he bounce back with his sucess with Adavi ramudu which was again a block buster & continued his success many many films till 1982 where he entered into politics.In 1982 He declared his official entry into politics & surprisingly got smashing success in Politics too became CM with in 9 months, but with in 18 months he rivalry Nadendla Bhaskara Rao cheated him by becoming CM, then he went to public & then he again become CM.Due to his some -ve impact he lost his power in 1989 to congress.
His reentry is with huge success in 1994 where he won 250+ seats in that year.Then he married second time to laxmi parvathi where his down fall starts.Again he has to face cheating with his own son in law Chandrababu naidu in 1995 & with that shock he died in 1996 Jan 18.He was a great man, great director, actor, politician(not very successfull) & God of Telugu cinema
