Nandigarm express connects mumbai ith nagpur via aurangabad, jalana, parbhani, nanded, mumdkhed, chandrapur.
The up train is ataurangabad at around 10 p.m in nght and very suitable for night journey and you can reach mumbai /chtrapati shivji terminus in morning at 5-30 a.m.
Unfortunately dn nandigarm does ot kep symmetric timings and starts from mumbai cst at 4-35 p.m instead of night and reaching aurangabad at 12-00 hrs midnight rendering it unsuitable. The dn. Nandigram touches auarangabad, jalana, and parbhani the 3 important cities in marathwada in midnight and thus defeats it’s purpose.
The train is full and one can ot book ticket on the day of journey from aurangabad as chart is prepred in the morning. There is a huge rush from international tourist center and regionalm center for /mumbai which is met rather poorly.
Morover it is vey nice that train connects to chandrapur via nanded but it will be better if rom chandrapur it goes to gondia via the chandrapur-gondia direct track serving adivasis. At present there is no train for mumbai from this naxalite prone area. Moreover distance to nagpur is longer by this route.
