NARAYANA HRUDAYALAYA LIMITED Cares

NARAYANA HRUDAYALAYA LIMITED is working closely with MouthShut.com to enhance customer satisfaction.

CCU experience was a nightmare

I would not like to name myself in any manner as I have no other option but to visit Narayana Hrudayalaya during emergencies because we recently shifted to Hosur and I know my father has this Heat Problem which needs immediate attention. Earlier we were at Delhi and indraprastha apollo was the hospital was which we regularly visited. I never had any kind of problem.

Reason for shifting was I had to move to Ashok Leyland. On Tuesday I got a call from my dad saying he had chest pain, and I had to rush him to Narayana Hrudayalaya. It was around 10 am. My vehicle was asked to go to the emergency and there was not even one person to guide us there. Somehow reached the emergency. It was not before 5 minutes that 2 nurses showed up and that to laughing and playing, they were having a walk in the park? It was the most casual approach I had ever seen in my life. What they didnt see was I was holding onto my father and he was crying in pain. I asked them to shift him and that he is a Heart Patient.

The answer from the Male Nurse was " NO " we have to check .. I was just not able to believe that they were doing a check up in the middle of the road when I am telling them he was a heart patient. after another 10 minutes they say ok.. ( I could very well understand them saying in Malayalam " Morning Morning Headache has landed " I just kept quite cause I didn’t have any other option. The ccu was like a railway station, , maybe thats why they call it narayana hrudayalaya I guess. The doctors were good especially one lady Doctor Prathiba, she was really polite and calmed me down.. That was the only positive thing and maybe the only reason I would want to come back again. I was asked to pay amount for admission. When I said I have Insurance another lady with a coat said go and meet Madavi and got busy with her mobile. I asked again who is she and where, then she said go front and then do registration and meet madavi in 1st floor.

Again I just went around finding my way.. Finally done. Security would not allow me every now and then to visit my father, but were kind enough. My father was regularly telling me he does not want to be in CCU, I understood the reason soon enough, and the reason was that it was just like a market, people just came took a stroll and walked of. Of all the Nurses were always busy chatting with each other.. When I used to go to meet my father and I wanted to communicate with the nurse I could hardly get in touch with any one of them, I wonder how the patients call out when they are at distress. Finally after 2 days I was shifted to a room . It was so much better there. Everything felt so different . The care was great. I had this guy coming everyday and asking me if everything’s were fine. The nurses were educated and it was really clean.

What  I have to say is that being such a big hospital, there is no response from anyone in the Hospital at one of the most crucial areas. It was a total Failure from the point of the Administration and nursing care. When we come to a emergency we expect not much, but a little bit of attention and care. Someone to guide us, someone to talk to us for a few minutes and most importantly someone to attend immediately to the patient.
