Insensitive Management, Disorganized Helpdesk.
People who do not have Insurance or whose Insurance is rejected are the ones that need support/assurance. But that is not the case. When we approached the Asst. Manager [you will be made to wait or ask multiple times about meeting with him] and inform him that the insurance mentions about a cooling period of 2 years [6 months was left], he casually says "WHY DONT YOU WAIT FOR 6 MONTHS THEN AND GET THE SURGERY DONE"!
How much more insensitive can one be? Despite coming to the hospital again for the 2nd eye, in both cases after making us plead, they gave a discount of 3.5%!
After all these bad experiences the only reason we came again was because the doctor was very good and pleasant. For people who dont have insurance, you need to have a BUFFALO SKIN so that you are mentally prepared going for surgery in the hospital!
Disorganized Helpdesk
When we got the surgery done for the first eye, our bad experience with helpdesk was because on the consultation date [a Monday] we were told the doctor goes to Rajajinagar branch on Mondays, so why dont you go there? Knowing the patient being aged [70+] they dont even think once about the inconveniences.
For the 2nd eye after the surgery, we were given a follow-up consultation date that was again a Monday. Not wanting trouble again, I called up the helpdesk and they said its been scheduled on Monday. After I asked them to check the doctors schedule, they again said she would be in Rajajinagar so can you go there? People who really need to know the doctors schedule are totally clueless while we as patients who visited the hospital just a few times are very clear on the schedule!
Also, the phone number mentioned in the consultation SMS will not work! You will have to either Google or refer the case file where you can get the correct number!
The only reason I have still given 2 starts is SOLELY FOR THE DOCTOR who was very patient, pleasant and good. Absolutely no offence to the doctor!
NN is a typical Corporate Hospital who will smile well when the patient has an insurance. For the rest, if we ask for discount they will just give you gyaan. Even genuine requests for discounts are just washed off.
