I went for LASIK check up. There is a lady appointed to take care of patients who come for LASIK. She demanded 1300 as soon as I entered only. I said no let me speak to the doctor first if scan is required or not and first check my eyes. Then she said Ok,
She sent me to the junior doctor for my number checkup. As soon as I told her that I want to know about Lasik, she didnt even properly checked my eyes and said You need to go for the scan. Then I had to pay 1k for the scan at athat time.
I got the scan reports. Then I was sent to doctor Rohit, he just said one line after seeing the reports that you eyes are fine and healthy and you can go for Lasik. And further if you have any questions you can ask my consultants. I said what the hell in my mind.
And who was the consultant- the same lady who didnt know any technicalities of the surgery. She came to me said only one line - When can I get you operated, the surgery will cost 85k.
I said you didn’t even give me any details and you are asking like this. I said thank you I will let you know and I came back home with total disappointment. Nobody in this world take 85 k for Lasik. And I have only -1.75 power. Beware of money makers. I am not able to put my feelings here that I felt that way. The hospital was not interested to tell me about any details of the surgery after checkup but they only asked me was when can they operate me and the price they told. As if I am there to buy something.
