Well, right from the opening theme "Tuyo". Narcos captivates you and takes you into the 80s. Set in Columbia, it describes the true life story of Drug lord Pablo Escobar and his journey which included using communists orgs and authorities like puppets+ pushing the biggest consignments of cocaine ever into the US.
In the process, his ever bulging richness overwhelms you besides his street smart, ruthless survival strategies. Wagner Moura as Pablo is pretty good and captures the viewers attention from the start. Pablos resourcefulness in every situation impresses but the evil in him also makes him despised.
With unlimited money expectedly comes a of evil and the bloodbath that Pablo unleashes seems to make one think whether so many lives were really worth it. It is a story of ruthless power, violence, street smartness and strategy.
The screenplay rarely slows down making for lucid viewing of each episode. Netflixs production quality is quite good which makes for another reason to binge watch this series.
