The father of all web series. Narcos has been the series that completely revolutionized the concept of online content. It shows the rise and fall of Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar as he establishes a fierce smuggling network of a drug that was fairly unknown at that time - Cocaine. Just like any drug cartel story, this too involves a fair amount of action and bloodshed. The show takes you through the scenic hills of Colombia and Medellin with some extremely captivating Spanish music, ensuring a visual treat despite the gruesome violence. It’s beautifully laid out with Murphy’s(Holbrook) narration guiding you through the plot. The intensity level hardly drops. Pedro and Holbrook’s comradeship sets the tone for the ups and downs they go through in pursuit of the commanding Pablo Escobar(Wagner Moura) who despite the stone heart has a very soft corner for his family for whom he would fight till his last breathe. The fact that it’s based on a true story really chills your spine at times as the real footage further intensifies the magnitude of the situation. A real treat to watch.
