The NASA bar in Bangalore is very much like its name suggests…like a space ship. Everything about the interior and the exterior is ‘spaced out’, to mimic some item of space travel or the other. The outside looks like Columbia and the ‘port’ windows inside the pub have stars and astronauts. The table legs are shaped like rockets. But this ‘space theme’ makes the whole place a little claustrophobic. Seating is quite comfortable. This is one the few pubs where u see lot of couples. On the day I visited the pub I found people of all ages.
The T.V screen is not very conveniently placed and for a long time on Music channels. But the best part were the drinks. Very affordable and brought with interesting spacey concepts. Cocktails have all kinds of ’spacey’ names, zero gravity, blah blah.
All in all, for an ‘out of this world’ experience, NASA qualifies as a ‘must-see’ if u’re in Bangalore and have to pass an evening out with friends.
