Nathdwara

I am a vaishnav and Nathdwara is my pilgrammage. I have been there almost every two years. And not even once I have been bored. The Shrinathji temple one of the wealthiest and most attractive temple with a lot of histroy is amazing. The ’’Bhakti’’ for this deity shreenathji is so much that the temple is over crowded throughout the year. Plus their traditions and everything else are so spectacular that you never get bored.

Secondly the people is this village are so sweet and lovable. They give you a warm welcome and two days around the market all the shopkeepers know you by your first name. The traditional way of serving milk in a cup made out of Mud is really fascinating. The food is also soo good in some of the restaurants. they serve the typical rajasthani food. But one should avoid eating at the Chowpatty. My review would be incomplete if I dont mention the Gaushalaas the homes for the cows. the best thing about these is the way the gualas(the sheperds) serve food to the cows.

Nathdwara may not be the cleanest or the ideal place for sight seeing but definately one visit is a must for Darshan and to view how a huge temple is managed and the amount of sevaks are there to take care.
