When it comes to the National Award, for past few years we can see strong lobbying. Otherwise you cannot find a fine reason for how Saif Ali Khan was awarded as Numero Uno in acting this year. Saif Ali Khan has done a decent work on his roles in ’’Dil Chahtha Hai’’ and ’’Hum tum’’ and I really enjoyed with his fun-filled and dynamic acting, but it was really shocking to hear that he won the National best actor award.
It doesn’t mean that an actor/actress should always win award for acting in Art movies. Whether commercial or Art movie, the award should go for the person who acted the BEST, when compared with other nominees. Then how could it go to a character, which deserves only some laughter, and applaud. It should be considered as an insult to all awardees of previous years.
I ’m sure that many other actors deserve a better chance. Somebody can explain how Ajay Devgan also got these award for his expression-less (for just for keeping a sad, ’thinking’ expression) face from start to end of Zakm. His old action movies(vijay path) were better in that genre.
