I had been to ‘National Gallery of Modern Art’ last year when I visited Bangalore to receive my son after completing his corporate training programme.
The gallery has collections of some exceptional art of modern and medieval concept which mainly include paintings, marble statues, wooden showpieces, folk culture apparels, ivory works, silk emporium and many other items which are worth to explore.
It also depicts the ancient lifestyle and materialistic item usage of the people of this region by displaying some of its collections from which one can evaluate the lifestyle and the level of expertise and efficiency of the people of ancient periods. The gallery has hundreds of varieties of collections where you can spend whole day inside it and explore its collections.
It is a big gallery and the concept of the place was so well communicated through its collections that every one of us impressed a lot. Even interior settings look commanding in its traditional structure. The sellers at the gallery were in their traditional outfit which attracts lot of tourists.
The hospitality has been awesome. If you dont want to buy anything, you can just see them or can do a window shopping sort of. But, you cant resist yourself without buying at least one to keep it as a memory of lifetime. I have purchased around six items which includes paintings, handicrafts, marble statue of Lord Krishna and few showpieces. This gallery is also very famous among tourists as well which can be witnessed through their presence. It is a Government body licensed gallery. Hence, you can be absolutely sure of its collections in terms of quality, price and durability. It is a gallery worth to visit.
