After finding the details on National Panasonic’s washing machine in local market, the important feature highlighted by the merchandiser is the Rugged and heavy duty body as compared to other brands Videocon, BPL and samsung. As I am staying in the area having water problems, I decided to purchase the semiautomatic washing machine of 6Kg. Make : National Panasonic Model : NA650 Invoice : 2364 dtd 4th Mar2001. I received the machine delivered to my door step without any cash advance against cheque payment after the successfull demo and testing of the machine.
Warranty :
Excellent terms upto 2 years including parts and service. Finally I have checked the Invoice and warraty documents. One of the warranty document in duplicate was printed with self address on it, with the instruction ’’ This document must be posted to the company’s office in Delhi within 15 days of purchase of product’’ After making necessary entry I have posted the warranty document. After 15days, the same document came back to me, informing the non-availability of office in Delhi. Here I need to take up this matter to the merchandiser.
Problem :
If I get manufacturing defect within warranty period, and the support is not given by the local dealer, Whom should I contact when the distributor in India is not existing?
Precaution :
Whenever you purchase product from the market ask for warranty terms. See do you have any document which needs to be posted by you. Ensure that such posting of the information should be done by the dealer and get the same document stamped properly from the dealer to justify warranty terms.
