Children Of Black Sabbath

Any self respecting rock, heavy metal or trash metal band, or musician for that matter, have at some point of time played a Black Sabbath tune or riff or lick. So what can be more pleasing than a CD featuring some of the talented and hottest bands, of that time, all playing their interpretation of Black Sabbath!!!

The talent featured is indeed a delicate sample of a variety of the genres of heavy metal from Brooklyn punk rockers Biohazard, Brazilian Deathsters Sepultura & Gothic Cathedral, to the wonderful surprise of Black Sabbath with Bullring Brummies, Ozzy with Therapy? and Bruce Dickinson with Godspeed.

With the exception of the live track, the production too is top class.

Highlights are the tracks by Biohazard (After Forever), Megadeth (Paranoid), White Zombie (Children Of The Grave), Sepultura (Symptom Of The Universe), Ugly Kid Joe (N.I.B.)

Perhaps the biggest let down of the album is Faith No More’s live cover of War Pigs & to a lesser extent Corrosion Of Conformity’s ’Lord Of This World’ but after playing this CD a dozen times these tend to stick too!!!

A must have for any fans’ CD collection & with almost 68 minutes of pure listening pleasure, good value for money!!!
