I suppose advertising really works because I have to admit that I fell for the advertisements of Naturefresh Atta and bought it. I expected fresh wheat flour which ultimately would make soft fresh rotis but I was in for a bad surprise!!!
It claims to make atta out of select MP wheat (written on the 2kg parcel which I bought) ..they should have instead written select bad MP wheat! Kneading this dough is a herculean task. If we put in too much water, it becomes sticky..if we put less water it becomes very hard. Moreover, while kneading it, it does not absorb water and become softer. You just have to keep on putting water and the end result is real bad. The rotis are more like papads and you can safely use them as frisbees if not as rotis. :-)
I suppose Annapurna atta is much better than Naturefresh (I have used it only once though) or maybe you can just go for the readymade atta which is available with your local grocery store..that would be definitely better!!
