I am working in senior management position with 18.6 yrs of work experience. I wanted to change my job and noticed that it was difficult and time consuming to apply to each consultant so after some thought I called for the Naukri paid service i.e. the email to consultant service.
I wanted just this service. But the associate on line(Shiva) explained about the Resume Display Service and I accepted that I will take these 2 services i.e. Resume Display and Resume email to consultants services.
But on that day, 12th September, Shiva’s senior came online and tried to sell me the Resume Writing service too. I was never convinced it was a good service. This lady used the best possible language and calmed my fears. She explained that I needed the Resume writing Service as my resume was rich with over 18 yrs of experience through several companies. She also clearly mentioned that the Naurki team have over 8 yrs of experience in resume writing and they would like to loose a client and INR 4, 000 rather than spoil their name. So I took up all 3 services. The only catch, rightly so, was that the resume display and email to consultants services would be activated after the resume writing department and I finalize the resume.
I got the draft copy of my resume only after 7 working days, on 21st September and I noticed that there was nothing new added to my resume, all my details were simply rearranged and some of the details deleted to reduce it from a 5 pages to 3 pages. I expressed this in written email and answered the 2 queries, my date of birth and my collage name. I expressed my dissatisfaction by return email on 21st September and requested a call back the next day so I can again explain my requirements and so we can have a dialogue to take this forward.
There was no call made and I got a 2nd draft of my resume with just my college name and my date of birth included, after a week! on 27th September! The tone of the mail is such that I should accept this draft as final copy and move on – I have spent around 4000 rupees and wasted 3 weeks of my precious time and yet my resume is not only not on display and hence cannot be searched by companies till they are paid members of Naukri but the same has not yet been forwarded to the consultants too since it is not yet finalized!
I have written a strong email to Naurki team a while back, on night of 28th September. Lets see what happens…
