I don’think sidhu is a good commentator. I think he would be a lot better if he used his mouth for foot storage. Commentary incidentally is not about showing off your public school education or your faux britannica vocabulary. It’s about adding to the experience of the game. All sidhu seems to contribute is a steady throbbing headache. I can’t help laughing at this stuffed shirt’s pretensions at being the next oscar wilde or wodehouse or whoever he is trying to imitate(apologies of course to messrs. wilde and wodehouse)

He comes up with such utterly ridiculous ’’jolly good old chap’’ desi turned brit metaphors. And what’s infinitely worse is sir loudmouth gets to do the honours post game too. He has his own brand of toadies in bhogle(the guy went to iim-a. just goes to show you can never really know a person) and alan wilkins. I almost expect them to start going ’’aye mate’’ and ’’what ho laddie’’ and get drunk and talk about the latest shows on the london theatre scene.
Commentary is not news reading. You don’t need an accent fake or otherwise. His commentary ethic seems to be ’Have bad quotes. Will use’. Grow up paaji.
