Breaking the monotony

I’d go there again & again & would recommend it to anyone/everyone who wants to break the monotony.*

This past week, a number of us (i.e. family members; 9 incl kids) went to the much talked-about & advertised-for Nawaabgunj. Safari at Ambience Mall, Gurgaon. (I have a lot to say about the mall – both good & bad – but that’s probably for a different post). In short – it was one of the better experiences that I have had with restaurants in India.

Some specific points – Food – 10 / 10 Awesome food! I’d rate it right next to (if not slightly above) Gulati’s at Pandara road. We had a couple of paneer varieties, standard dal-makhani & several bread alternatives. Truly marvellous!

Ambience – 6 / 10 Ok, so they did manage to create that somewhat jungle-like atmosphere, with waiters dressed up as hunters. There were noises abound of monkeys, lions, elephants, birds etc. Where they are losing marks is in the songs they played & the volume they played them at –w e literally had to yell to talk to each other!
