My experience with Nayyar Hospital, Amritsar for the angioplasty of my brother has been a successful one. Doctor Manan Anand undertook the operation and my brother was discharged on time. I am unsure of all the charges my family had to pay but it wasn’t something out of the line.
When we rushed to the hospital due to brother’s severe chest condition, Doctor Manan Anand said the same thing, that a stent would have to be inserted in a vein. My father talked to him and the operation was started. I was told that the situation is not serious but the urgent operation is needed. So, we settled for it. It was on September 3.
After the operation, my brother spent about 2-3 days in the hospital and he was brought back home. Doctor Anand reassured that everything was done as per the procedure. I was told that Balloon operation was not needed and a directional coronary was performed.
My brother didn’t recover instantly but the chest pain was subdued. We were told to get a checkup from Nayyar Hospital regularly after some time. My brother’s condition was a little different from other patients and it seems like doctors can only play their part.
It feels bad when your relative couldn’t be saved because no one wants that but several conditions matter. My brother who is 31 is relatively young and we knew had the issue. We visited the hospital in time and operation was done quickly, which all contributed to the success. Dr. Manan informed us well about the procedure and also told us what to do post-operation.
I guess he is a good doctor and did his duty patiently. The hospital was also supportive and catered to my brother well. Hospital bills were a little high but we are happy that my brother is healthy now. That’s all matters at the end.
