We had plans to scare ourselves on this saturday night so went to watch Naina. Unfortunately we couldn’t get the tickets so settled with Nazar. Within five minutes the movie gave us a shock by projecting a very scary scene, but couldn’t continue it in entire movie.
Story : A suspense thriller having some super natural touch has nothing new to present. This is a story of a serial killer, a police officer who is striving with the case and a girl who has got psycho power to see the murders. Police officer is trying to solve the case with the help of this girl having super natural powers. The story has nothing new in it could be seen as a new dish in a old plate.
Music : Music has also noting in new. Some songs are good to have one look. It’s not a musical movie so noting much on this aspect. Generally Mukesh Bhatt presents his movie with nice music, but this movie doesn’t follow that pattern.
Direction : The most pathetic part of the entire movie is the direction. Today viewers are smart enough and they look for the technical aspect of the movie too, n not just the on screen drama. Viewers will find themselves cruising in a ship with no scouting available. I guess Soni Razdan has lots more to learn about how serve a better story without loosing the essence of the same.
Meera : The character of Meera has lots of shades in this movie and she has done justice with her character. The entire story revolves around this story. Entry of this beautiful ambitious Pakistani actress could be seen as the betterment of Indo-Pak relationship and let’s hope for the best.
Ashmit Patel : He has got he role of a mature police officer and he has tried his best to do it well. Sometimes childish look of this young actor has given some jerks to viewers but still the acting is good. The character who is trying to achieve success with his own unique style is well done.
I hope this short review will help my MS friends to decide whether to go for this movie or not. Personally I would not recommend this movie because it has nothing special to watch. Most of the movies coming these days are trying to present themselves something different so that they can pull viewers but sad to say most attempts are going in vain.
