The NBA is the epitome of American sportsmanship. Once you get hooked on to it, it is very very addictive and other games look very very medieval in comparison. I started watching the games when I was on a stint in the US and now I cant get enough of it. The game is full of immemorable pictures for those who know it - MJs fadeaway jump shots, Vince Carters mother awesome dunks, the Kobe-Shaq alley hoops.. oh, I could go on and on..
The heat is on now with the championship series between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Philadelphia 76ers slugging it out for the title. The Lakers have been here, seen and done it last year. The Jackson-Kobe-Shaq trio seeming invincible, and very remeniscent of the Chicago bulls glory days of Jackson, Jordan and Pippen.
But watch out ye Lakers, cries a little voice, for a pesky little pain in the neck called Allen Iverson. If you thought the 76ers were going to steamrolled by that hippo-truck called Shaq, think again. Iverson seems to have peaked at the right moment, sucker punching the Lakers on game 1 of the finals. Go, go, go, sixers, go!!!!
(Note - MS, you have this in the wrong category, mebbe movies or something...!)
