I have completed Aircraft Maintenance Engineering in 2010. So, I can tell you about the course more than anyone else. Its comparatively an unknown course.
You have to pass 10+2 with 50 percent in aggregate to take admission in this course.
This course is conducted by Director General of Civil Aviation(DGCA) and under its approval various institute conducts this course.
It is a three years course in which you have to clear Five semester in the institute and after this five semester you have to complete an On job training of six months.
This is not all These five semestar is not worth you have to pass DGCA licence paper exam otherwise you will not get OJT in good place.
I will not suggest you to do this course BECAUSE THIS COURSE IS NOT EQUIVALENT TO GRADUATION. After completion your course and Ojt you have to do training in various aviation company, airlines, flying clubs, lab etc. for an uncertain period of time till you get the job. This training is not free of cost you have top spend money for the training till you get the job. After all this you get a job the package of the job is very less because you will join as a technician.
So I am telling you dont join this course.
