Credibility has many faces is the catch phrase of NDTV. And is quite apt. The faces that have been associated with serious news and english news for the last seven years are all part of Prannoy Roy’s NDTV.
And in the recent bandwagon of news channels, the choice was made simpler by the fact that we don’t just hear the news we even watch it. After all television is a visual medium and when it comes to news it is over a period of time that trust is built.
And with journalists / reporters like Prannoy Roy himself, Rajdeep Sardesai and Barkha Dutt among others make quiet a team.
NDTV has decent packaging to begin with. The music been composed by none other than maestro A R Rahman.
With the regular news shows they have a variety of shows across the board which make for interesting viewing. There’s ’’we the people’’, ’’The X factor’’, and of course ’’Night Out’’ - which is one show I try and catch daily.
Hosted by Anisha Baig - the show is anchored live from a party or a night club with a guest and is intercut with stories related to either fashion or films - bollywood and hollywood.
A similar weekend show called Limelight is also interestingly packaged.
If it’s news - it has to be NDTV....
