Before I start writing abt NDTV 24X7, I would like to tell you about the background of NDTV.
NDTV has been a consistent performer since the days of WORLD THIS WEEK which used to be telecasted in 80’s.
After WORLD THIS WEEK this company went in for the STAR NEWS, where it collected the jems like Rajdeepsar Desai, Barkha Dutt and many other..
I found Star News to be little biased .
During its association with star news, NDTV started good programs like:
THE BIG FIGHT
WE THE PEOPLE.
It got attention when it covered a exculsive press conference with Gen Pervez Musharraf when he was at the Agra summit(which was unplanned conference).
And the second biggest was when Barkha Dutt covered the capture of Tiger Hill from Kargil.
After the completion of the contract with Star, NDTV went ahead and launched its own set of channels NDTV24X7 and NDTV India.
Since the launch of NDTV24X7, NDTV has been working 24X7 to provide unbiased content based news to the people of India. The added advantage is the upcoming elections, which these people are using effectively.
The discussions since then have been more open, straight forward and unbiased.
New programs have been started:
1:The famous WORLD THIS WEEK.
2:The hilarious THE GREAT INDIAN TAMASHA.
3:The casual WALK THE TALK
4:The sporty TURNING POINT
and many others...
NDTV has effectively managed is that they are able to retain their reporter with them, unlike other channels whose reporters have been moving from channel to channel for petty gains..!!
This channel has been able to get in top leader on a platform and debate opening on various issues..
Recently the debate started by NDTV on filmstars entering politics has put a comma on heard of filmstars joining politics...for money sake..
Also the open discussion held with COLLIN POWELL with the Indian youngster was also covered very well.
The channel is growing in popularity because of their sincere effort..I hope it continues ..
