We booked 2 deluxe rooms for 2 nights at Symantec Villa Kodaikanal. We paid 16000 for overall stay. When we reached our hotel we were provided 1 deluxe room and another room which was very small. We asked hotel person to provide us deluxe room, he insisted that this is deluxe room. We asked to cancel our booking as the room provided does not worth even 1000 rs and we paid 4000 for it. He asked us to contact nearbuy as we booked through them.
We called them to intervene and provide us the room which was shown online. They told that travel desk will contact us in 5 minute. We waited for 15 minutes no one called. We called back and told whole story again. Then travel desk representative Mr Gautam promised that he will provide our resolution in next 10 minutes. We waited for 20 minutes. Luckily we got a call back from Gautam and he told they are unable to contact the vendor so he cant help with this. We asked to change to some other hotel or cancel this reservation. He told he will check with his booking department in next 10 minute. We waited again for 20 minutes and no call back so called again and told same whole story. This they did not connect to Gautam, they connected to some other higher authority Shashank. He told they cant change to some other hotel as no other option is available. We asked to cancel and he told we are unable to contact the vendor. We asked caretaker of property to talk with Nearbuy on this call. They talked and caretaker told Shashank room provided is deluxe room only and he cant provide any other room. Shashank asked us to wait for 10 minute so that he can contact owner/manager of property. We waited for another 20 minutes and no call back so we called again. Shashank told he cannot contact vendor so there is no proof that room provided is not deluxe and he cannot cancel and refund money. We asked Shashank that we can provide pics proving that room does not match the picture shown on website. We emailed him pics and waited for call back for one hour. As usual no call back so we called customer care again and asked what is the status.They told we cant cancel and refund anything. We asked now you have proof that room provided is not deluxe for which we paid for. They told picture on their website they have not uploaded. They copied it from google and posted on their website. They dont hold any responsibility if vendor cheat their customer. This is highly irresponsible as they are the one who acted as agent in booking the hotel. Provided us with wrong information by posting false picture on their website and ended up taking no responsibility for this action. They wasted our 4 precious hours on calls and followup.
Never book from this website. This is a fraud website which just act as payment gateway for fraud vendors.
