Neerja is a hindi biographical thriller drama movie which is written by Saiwyn Quadras and the movie is directed by Ram madhvani starring Sonam kapoor in role of head purser Neerja Bhanot while Shabana Azmi and Shekhar Ravjiani played supporting role in thee moviee.The movie is produce by Atul Kasbekar.
The movie is based on the real incident that the plane which was hijacked on 5th september 1986.
Neerja bhanot ensured the failure of hijacking by preventing the plane from getting off the ground and safes the lives of 359 people but she was shot dead .the movie is released on 19 feb 2016 .
