Never use this service

F you have a lot of time on hand and want to ’waste’ it....what do you do....travel by ’NEETA’ travels. A distance of 180 kilometres between Mumbai and Pune takes the MSRTC a maximum time of 4 hours (this includes peak hour mumbai traffic). By NEETA it takes a minimum of 5 hours (by the first bus in the morning). Neeta loves to stop at each place to pick up people (like a dog pissing on each tree he passes by).

The buses are dirty, the seats soiled and stains of pan and gutkha don’t help. The stink inside the bus will rival that coming from an abattoir.

The Drivers are not the best and not at all helpful. They generally don’t answer any question one were to ask and when one begins to wonder whether the poor soul is mute he asks a question to his ’boss’ standing outside the bus, "Can we go??". The ‘boss’ trying to CON a few more passers-by into taking the ‘last seat’, is also busy picking his nose or scratching his balls while he’s at it.

After much contemplation and dissatisfaction of not finding any more passengers to CON, the BOSS reluctantly tells the driver to scoot off. The driver halts at each location only to repeat the same exercise. As a passenger you start thinking if you’re going to get to your destination before the year ends.

During the rainy season all you need is a fishing rod and some bait (there’s enough water in the seat to be able to accommodate a few fish!!) and lunch will be served ‘in’ your seat. One word of free advice ‘DONT TRAVEL BY NEETA EVEN IF YOU’RE PAID TO DO SO’
