'AMERICAN BEAUTY' AND LOT MORE

TEA, COFFEE OR....

I would say coffee. I have never detested milk in my life so it’s not like discovering an ambrosia in Nescafe classic(makes plain milk palatable). I love milk in any form and Nescafe classic makes it absolutely toothsome. Especially people who are prone to mood swings(like me) find respite in coffee. You know there is something about the aroma of coffee that keeps me going. I will let you in on a secret. Before making coffee in the morning I just open the jar and satisfy my olfactory nerves. (No, I have no canine habits)

The satisfaction is like lying in a bed of rose petals( don’t read “ American beauty”)and the blissful fragrance wafting through the air. Circumlocution, is it? Okay, Let’s come down to brass tacks.

PROLOGUE:- I am not going into the genesis of coffee or the credentials of Nestle India Ltd. Nestle Classic is made from the finest coffee beans and is available in different packages to suit every pocket. The smallest pack (sachet) is for Rs. 10/- and is quite handy. The Jar costs about Rs. 54/-. Then there is the 200gms pack + 25% more at no extra cost. Just Rs.185/-.(I hear you say, Marketing gimmicks, Hidden costs, give some freebies or some percentage extra after hiking the rate) . To be very honest I don’t know and I don’t care. It’s truly the taste that gets you started……

MODUS OPERANDI:- As if you all didn’t know the method of preparation. Have it the way you like. Black or white, Cappuchino or mocha, Irish or southindian, Hot or cold, with or without icecream, caramel or chocolate sauce( Nestle Frappe and Barista are passé)

VOX POP:- Coffee contains caffeine and too much of it is bad for health. {Students cramming for the exams, Working professionals struggling to meet deadlines, people dating at a coffee shop EXEMPTED}

COFFEE BREAKS AT WORKPLACE:- These are much anticipated breaks. We have regular coffee breaks in our office which are not for coffee per se.( Smoking, discussing over an issue and not reaching a consensus, gossiping and then back to work)charged up for the day at the end of it. As per office rules every employee is entitled to 3 cups of tea or 2 cups of coffee(Cost cutting). For me it’s 3 cups of coffee because my boss knows that my output and my performance (Both at work) are directly proportional to my intake of coffee.

EPILOGUE:- I want to thank my parents, my colleagues, my friends(Don’t worry No Oscars this). Without them I would be just another woman drinking just another cup of coffee [ Brew (pun intended) it well, Enjoy it with the rising sun or is it at ‘Sunrise’ or looking at the Brook( with or without Bond) flow, MR with Mr. X, Y or Z)

Time for a coffee break… What say you? Anyone’s got the CD of ‘American beauty’

Back after the break

STATUTORY WARNING :- (Not laid down by Statute) Drinking more than 2 cups of coffee can be debilitating.

Remember there is many a slip between the cup and the lip, so enjoy your cup of coffee before it gets ’too cold’
