I worked at Nest as a Lead Engineer in Bangalore. My experience here is unforgettable. I have around 9+ years of experience, this is my 3rd company when I joined here.I would say joining here is the biggest mistake I have done in my career wise. Below are some thing I have observed here.
First time ever I have seen a promotion or Hike in terms of amount of money instead of% hike. That too a the maximum hike one can get is around 10K/Month irrespective of the grade or your designation. This hike will be give to only around 100 employees in the whole company( Total strength was around 1600 that time)
There is no work culture here. Its zero in my point of view.
All HR are sitting in Trivandrum, HR wont answer or reply to most mails from employees, you need to write mails after mails to track your problems. They change the policy based on the situation. They have a swipe IN/OUT policy which is not normal like "First in Last Out" in most companies, It checks every in/out and calculates the time.
The salary structure in this company is the worst meaning it is not employee friendly. You have to pay most as a tax. For example the maximum HRA in the company is below~ 6K for any grade or designation. And the Basic component is also very less below~ 10K. So obviously you cant save or get exemption from the income tax.
