I brought it for my home about 3months ago and found that the range of the router is quite decent primarily because of the 5dbi double antenna on this model but dont expect this to reach in far corners of your house. Ideally suited for 800-1200 sqft home, if you live in a house bigger or on different floors, skip this model.
Functionality. Power button confusions aside, this router is pretty functional; it has guest networks, QoS and uses the same interface, which all Netgear Wi-Fi routers use.
QoS. Control who gets how much bandwidth, so that you can surf without a problem even when someone is watching a YouTube video
Parental control. Control what sites kids can get to.
Compatible with Netgear Genie app, which you can install on iPhone/Android to easily manage and configure the router.
But has no USB. Cannot connect USB printers or hard disks. It Occasional disconnects ( more on v1 than v2) . The Range Though its good, you might still have issues if you have a large house, too many walls or simply more interference.
So overall a good product for indoor use at home.
