The term nether or neder is used to denote low and ... The Netherlands refers to Nederland, meaning lowland because of its position towards the sea. It is small in size and big in events, attractions and activities.
with Schengen Visa I traveled by KLM flight from Delhi to Amsterdam a non-stop journey about 9 hrs to reach Shipole Air port. Cold weather at the airport attacked on the arrival.
DELFT is one of the old cities like Amsterdam and Rotterdam being modernized in the country. I had my work in IHE (International Institute for Infrastructural Hydraulic and Environmental Engineering) in Delft.
Dutch people mostly are conscious of Time, Work & Money . I used to visit to the open market usually working only on Every Thursday at the New Church where almost all materials including old and used stuff like camera, watch even shirts could be seen, Flowers show and many gatherings used to be there in and around.
The IHE, opposite to Delft Railway station is very near to my residence. It is about 20 minutes walk. Cyclists are seen many around. Wishing every one is the part of their culture. Pot /ceramic works and paintings are their traditional works. Our residence was located at four roads crossing. There was one signal post provided exclusively for pedestrians at this junction. If any one who wants to cross the road they can press the switch on signal post. That generates auto sequencing operations to stop traffic for the people to cross.
They called the Delft as free city. It is apparently true to my knowledge. It is free from Dust, Theft, Accidents and many troubles. It might be less incidents but not publicly known. The Country, airport, trams, trains, buses, people, houses and hotels are clean comparing to our country as because it was reclaimed and constructed
Here it was always cloudy. People work even from 7 in the morning. Surprisingly IHE declared holiday as soon as they realized that the day was sunny day. All went to beach or their usual place to have sun bathe.
Unforgettable incidents like having breakfast, lunch/dinner in Days was exciting because **the SUN was seen even 2000hrs in the night.

Amsterdam, the capital is often referred as one of the most colorful cities in the world. I could not spent more time due to tight schedules. We also touched SCHILDAM ferry Wharf /Railway station on our return from London by Passenger Ship STENA LINE.BV(it was about 6 hrs Journey). This railway station is next to Delft Station.
SCHEVENINGEN beach is located in north western of the country. I went with our friends . we collected return tickets from Driver in the Tram. It was 40 minutes drive from Delft. But we disppointed as we could not go to beach due to sudden heavy wind and rain. Again we attempted . second time in good weather we enjoyed in walking on the beach and watching the visitors’ sun bathe and children play .. Sea was rough and tides were coming often with roaring . Every thing was disciplined and very smooth moments.Pier is little away in side the sea. There were restaurants on the shores where we had some bites.
SeaPorts: Rotterdam is world Port no. 1. It is also Europes major container port. The port of Rotterdam plays a major role in worldwide container logisticsIn Rotterdam we made a boat ride. While going boat crews offered beer, raw fish and biscuits. We chose to have beer and biscuits but the local people ate fish without reluctance.
ECT (European Container Terminal): ECT introduced the first automated terminal at the Delta Terminal in 1993. Today, all of the terminals at the Delta are highly robotized. Container transport from the quay cranes to the stacks is fully automated, using unmanned, automated guided vehicles (AGVs). The Delta operates a fleet of these robot trucks, while its container stacks are equipped with automated stacking cranes (ASCs).We were allowed to go only quay berth not yard side.
Keukenhot Flower /Garden. We went to a complex, three storeys building where people were busy in doing flowers packing, lifting flowerpots and loading into trucks/vans. The filed is covered with green color mesh and partitioned. Fans are fixed on the fence and work continuously. Water was sprinkled on triggered. This garden is near to sea and is maintained with contolled air, water, and pesticide as stipulted way.

The Delta (Oosterschelde Bridge and other side Zeeland Bridge): used four-wheeler and stopped for while at middle as well as other side of the dam.TheZeeland Bridge takes you to the other side of the Oosterschelde this is in the sea for about 3 miles long.
Netherlands has extremely liberal social policies like prostitution is legal and it become the first nation in the world to legalize same sex marriage. Dutch wanted to be modern and progressive but also **wish to preserve their standards and values.
*All cannot be expressed but one has to get experienced. Cost of living is more than India.
