This hospital boasts of their infrastructure but as far I have experienced they have no knowledge or skilled doctors for retina related problems. We went for retina counselling here for vitrectomy surgery and we found that the retina counseling center has zero knowledge about how vitrectomy surgery is performed in the first place.
We have consulted various doctors from major institutes like LV prasad eye institute and they have told us that the surgery could be performed with sootches or without sootches and using different materials like silicone oil or Intraocular gases etc. whereas the retina counselling center here claims that they have done many vitrectomy surgeries and they don’t even know what is the substance used in the surgery and the methods in the which the surgery is performed.
Being a layman I could know much more than them. The doctor also was not able to clarify even on some general points on vitrectomy which could be very well clarified without seeing the reports. We have asked very general questions which were clarified without even seeing the reports by doctors in other hospitals but the doctors here were reluctant to answer any of our queries.
They don’t seem to have any expertise or knowledge in this domain. People with any retina problem, I suggest you choose another hospital like narayana nethralaya rather than this hospital where neither does the doctor know anything nor does the retina counseling know anything. We did not like the ambiance also. The people at reception are not cooperative and are very rude.
The doctors also seemed negligent. Other than the main doctor of the hospital rest all are unskilled lacking expertise and knowledge. How would any patient want to undergo surgery in such a kind of hospital where the basic information itself is concealed and where no one wants to answer a patients questions.
