I just got rid of my Netkracker connection after struggling with it for almost a year. I bought it as I saw an ad. for a fast and reliable internet connection.
I must admit -- in the early days it was reasonably fast. But......it lasted for only a very short few days.
The service rapidly deteriorated. Umpteen calls to their help desk elicited nothing except advice to keep tweaking settings from the Internet Options section of my PC. But no improvement in performance.
Soon after the newspaper announcements of Netkracker going bust, I noticed a very sharp decline in quality of service. When I tried their helpdesk number (1-900-something...) I got a message saying the number did not exist (maybe they had not paid their bills to BSNL!) Anyways, when I finally got through to them on their regular lines, I was told that they had server and gateway problems. This persisted for 4 days, at which point I lost my patience and asked for a refund of my remaining account balance.
That also was met with a rude statement that I had got the connection for free. Finally, only a threat to call up the office of the chairman of Wipro made the operator connect me to his supervisor, and only a repetition of the same threat made him agree to send me my refund (yet to receive).
Is it anywonder that Netkracker is finally dead ? Good riddance !
