Impact
Nirvana : Nevermind is the album that re-awakened me to music and therefore, it still is my #1 musical influence as to what kind of music I prefer. The power of the emotion expressed in each song is stunning because of the raw emotion expressed so vividly with an atypical excellence.
Nirvana amazes me to this day because of the unprecedented power in a band formed in a small town could push a huge Pop Star out of number one on the Music Billboard and this is an album I will treasure for years to come because it is the voice of Generation X plus it is unique album that will probably will never be replaced by another.
Album Review
1)Smells Like Teen Spirit is an awesome song. This is one of the anthem songs for teenagers of the 90’s to have fun and party. [I love this song. ;) ] I can not get over how perfect the song sounds from the vocal and musical aspects. This is a song is as American as the dream to strike rich. ’’Here we are now ... entertain us acting stupid and contagious’’ is the quote to wrap up the meaning of being a teenager. I see this song as a glorification of the youthful carefree attitudes which teens portray with perfection.
2)In Bloom is a pretty cool song. It has awesome guitar solo action with the infamous guitar feedback of Nirvana. ’’But he don’t know what it means’’ seems to me the song is making fun of a guy who does not understand anything but yet he enjoys everything and everyone’s company.
3)Come As You Are is one of my absolute favorite songs. It is a calm, cool, collected song about not feeding yourself full of lies [or at least that could be one interpretation] and / or having one good friend whom you can always trust. Or ... maybe it is a song about two people who love each other and finally hook-up with each other. ’’Come as you are as I want you to be’’ is the point where everything in my world begins to stop and my mind and body tingles in unison.
4)Breed is an upbeat song with killer fast drum rolls and beats. Very fast and clear singing [for rock] on this track. This song is perfect to chilling and hanging out with friends or going out for a short drive.
5)Lithium is slower paced song. ’’I am so happy I found my friends...’’ brings a smile to my face because it reminds me of the times when my friends have been there for me in my time of need. The song overall is great for being brought up to a happy mood. It also expresses a carefree attitude towards life in general.
6)Polly to me is an amusing song. ’’Polly wants cracker.. I think I should get off her first’’ brings all chuckles to me along with a smile. This is probably one of the most laid back sounding songs by Nirvana.
7)Territorial P*ssings is another amusing song. ’’Everybody get together try to love one another right now’’ is the slow introduction and then it transitions to a very fast paced singing and busting out the tunes.
8)Drain You is a peaceful and inspiring song. ’’One baby to another says I am lucky to met you’’ takes me back to the days of middle school and high school. This song is little perverse [but what song is not a little perverse that was made by Nirvana so smile / ;) ] and little crazy just like every other song of theirs.
9)Lounge Act is cool song about a chair. I think this song is absolutely funny but has some serious points. Serious parts - some of the ideas about how and why people act the way they do is very true; such as common insecurity most people share, people want to be understood, and people want to experience every emotion.
10)Stay Away always brings a chuckle or two with the opening words ’’Monkey see, monkey do’’. The rest of the song is not exactly as entertaining but it has an awesome beat with excellent singing and jamming on the guitar. I just like the overall feel and sound of this song because of the incredible impression that I am left with ever time I hear it boggles me with awe.
11)On A Plain is about being high and coming around to conclusion. ’’Lets start off this song without any words’’ combined with the tone of the Kurt Cobain’s voice and the instruments working in perfect harmony is sheer bliss. ’’I love myself better than you... I am on plain ... I can’t complain’’ just throws me off and sets my mind in a spin. Peaceful rifts and drum rolls is the main background music.
12)Something In The Way to me is song about when you can not get anything done. ’’Something in the way ... yeah hmmmm’’ reminds of everyday I have when I am blocked by something which is out my control.

Additional song endless, nameless starts at 13:51. It is full of guitar feedback, strange bass, Kurt Cobain talking normal and screaming in tongue, and one heck of a drum session.
