The New Horizon College of Engineering campus is where I completed my BBM in 2014. Ive had mix feelings for this place so will try and cover both the aspects of it.
Probably the Engineering College is more popular than the BBM department, but I think credit must be given to the BBM department as it is also on the rise.
Academic wise the place is not bad. Teachers who I had were pretty decent, some really good while other just had big degrees to their name but werent the best when it came to actual teaching.
One of the things I liked is the fact that they had various programs conducted frequently which keeps the students busy in organising and participating such as the Sargam fest and many inter departmental fests such as Tarang.
I liked the fact that they had various programs as well for the students to hone their skills such as the Toastmasters program which ran really well during my batch and really hanged some of our lives, but it didnt last much as it was eventually stopped after we left which is very unfortunate for the present students.
Another complain which I keep hearing is regarding the fees. Every year they seems to be increasing the fees, apart from that they keep charging the students for various things such as fine and penalties.
Placements to be honest is not the best, they get average companies looking for usual bakras for their processes to be filled up and just make it look like a big company came to hire.
On the plus side, they do have various sporting facilities such as courts for various sports and also athletic meets to keep the sporty youth interested.
All in all, a place which may not be the best, but was good enough for me, and is always making changes, hence the title just like their motto "In Pursuit of Excellence"
