I applied for admission for my daughter for Montessori class this year, I believe in the month of October.
Positive considerations in my mind
- The school is located~7km from my home
2 positive feedback abt the IndiraNagar school about teachers and overall
- Very good facilities, classrooms as well as sports. there is adequate area
In the month of December I was called for interview. In the interview they talked to me/wife and also asked few questions to my daughter. I am particular about teaching staff. I was very happy at the way the Principal(Usha) interacted. Overall we had a positive experience. So we decided to go ahead
After few days I was informed that my daughter is selected and I need to come for admission discussions:-)
In the admission discussion we were simply told about the fees.(70, 000 donation and~52 000 annual fee) Donation is one time. They have given about 2 days to make the payment(either by draft or cash). I did not want to pay by cash hence I took the draft. Overall I was not too happy with admissions. They were less transparent about fee and I guess most of the parents would have paid the money in cash.
Later on I heard from another parent that they put them in a waiting list and was asked to pay 1 lac donation. I don’t know for sure it is true or not. But have a feeling it may be correct, due to the way they handled the admission.
After admission I have got constant information from the school(books, uniform etc) and I am very pleased about the same.
Overall cautiously optimistic.
