Dear Principal Madam,
I would like to bring your attention to an unfortunate incident that happened in New Horizon Gurukul on Jan 11, 2016 morning when I came to drop my kid to school.
My kid had met with a serious accident in the December holidays at apartment and was attending school for the first time on Jan 11.2016.
Since he was recovering from accident and was unable to bear the weight of the school bag, so I decided to drop him.
My drop time was before 9:00 A.M.
I had requested Mr. Das to at least let me in till reception(owing to condition of my kid) or allow me to hand over the kid to aayaamma as the kid cannot carry his bag due to injury and has to go to second floor.
Also I had requested him to allow me to hand over his medical certificate as per instruction given to me by school at reception as per doctor’s advice, since I wanted to pick up the kid early.
At the same time two other parents were allowed to enter school premises .
I tried explaining the situation security in charge Mr. C .S . Das, but he was unwilling to listen.
He started shouting and misbehaving with me .He also said the following words “ I donot care whether your son lives or dies”.
He started using abusive language in Hindi in front of kids . When I raised my voice to object to his unethical behavior and told that I will complain to the school authorities, he threatened me.
I am not worried about myself, but am worried about my kids safety as he threatened me that he now knows my kid now.
In the light of incidence of rising abuse of kids in Bangalore schools by support staff, I hope you understand my concern.
I had escalated this issue to Ms. Priyanka(who came later) but she did not care to understand the seriousness of issue and did not take any action.
Rather she had termed it as communication issue and told that she is busy and I should escalate to principal who is head of institute.
I do understand that we need to secure school premises for kid’s safety and totally support the same in light of rising incidents in Bangalore schools.
But I still fail to understand the usage of threatening and abusive language by your security in charge with parents .
I do understand your busy schedule but since your security guard had threatened me and now knows my kid, hence being worried about kid’s safety I thought it being appropriate to escalate the issue to you.
